recognized you and want you to be king of the Fairytale Forest, so I revoke my rights to the throne and you will become king of Fairytale Forest.” Phil looked at Persephone and back at the prince he nodded yes. “Splendid! Be ready for tomorrow when you will be crowned king of Fairytale Forest at high noon”, the prince finished as he left he thanked them for the cup of tea.

Phil looked at Persephone and back into his teacup wondering if he made the right decision to assume the role of king. Persephone cleared the empty teacups and teapot and brought them to the sink. “Oh, Persephone, my love, I wonder if I made the right choice. I mean - don’t get me wrong - becoming king is a great honor, but well it’s um never mind dear”, Phil told his wife as she sat down next to her husband. Persephone looked at Phil and knew something was on his mind for sure. “You’re worried about the baby aren’t you, dear? Come clean, I already knew it”, Persephone spoke to her husband as he sipped the last of his tea. Phil brought the teacup to the sink and washed his wife’s teaset as she dried it, he spoke. “Yes, my dear, you’re right. I’m worried that our child won’t get what she needs: her freedom to see other kids.” Phil explained to his wife as tears began to run down his snout. She hugged him and told him not to worry about that since she will see to it that their child will be able to leave the palace whenever she wants.

After her tea set was cleaned and packed up, Phil put his hat on and told his wife that he was going for a short walk. Phil then stepped outside and looked at their small cottage; it wasn’t anything special but he and Persephone called it home. Phil’s smiled turned to a frown since he knew that tomorrow they would be moving to the huge castle at the heat of Fairytale Forest.

“Ahh, good morning dear! Did you sleep well last night? I mean with your bad back and all”, Persephone yawned as she got up, packing up the lamps on the night stands and folding up the quilt she made. She walked up to her husband and and rubbed his sore back before going into the closet and putting all of their clothes into a suitcases. Phil moved slowly and sat at the table for breakfast. He had pancakes then packed up his favorite frying pan. Phil went to the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror and all he saw was a king staring back at him. As soon as the clock chimed high noon all the kingdoms people gathered near the castle.

Our story opens in a place called Fairytale Forest. It was high noon and the kingdom was full of joy, for a new king had been crowned named Phil. He was a wolf, and very kind to all. The kingdom was just victorious in a war, but the old king was killed by a fatal wound to the stomach. The king was on the verge of death and many soldiers charged at him, but Phil rushed in with only a fallen warrior’s spear that laid on the ground. Phil rushed in and - much to the king’s surprise - he fought off the soldiers and protected the king. “Phil you are pure of heart and worthy to take the throne and be a wonderful ruler of Fairytale Kingdom,” the king told him as he died right in Phil’s arms. “Rest in peace your highness may the Lord be with you”, Phil whispered to the dead king’s lifeless body in his arms. Phil kneeled and removed his hat he uttered a prayer and all gathered to hear. Phil gave the crown to the kingsmen and walked home. When he reached the house he smiled knowing that he could see his wonderful wife Persephone. The two loved each other very much, and were parents to be, and couldn’t be happier. Phil told his wife about the death of the king and what the king said before he died. She hugged her crying husband.

Afterward, he told her he had a sick feeling in his stomach so he excused himself to use the bathroom. As he sat there sweat poured down his snout and he thought about what had happened. Persephone sat in the living room and at that moment there was a pound on the door she sprang up and answered the knocking “good afternoon gentlemen can I interest you in a cup of tea?”, She asked them at the doorway. They nodded and asked to see Phil. When he came out, he saw the kingsmen, took his hat off, and sat down. “Hello gentlemen why have you come to my happy home”, Phil asked them with a nervous expression on his face. Persephone brought over some tea and then she sat next to Phil. They headed off and the prince walked up to Phil with his father’s crown. Phil’s eyes widened and he grabbed his wife’s hand and held her close to him. The prince spoke “Phil Wolf and Persephone Wolf you have been recognized as the couple with golden hearts willing to help others, But I the prince wish to take my father’s place as king. The people have recognized you and want you to be king of the Fairytale Forest, so I revoke my rights to the throne and you will become king of Fairytale Forest.” Phil looked at Persephone and back at the prince he nodded yes. “Splendid! Be ready for tomorrow when you will be crowned king of Fairytale Forest at high noon”, the prince finished as he left he thanked them for the cup of tea.
