Encouragement! I guess because we had been
managing yoga centres; then the natural progression
was to do it for ourselves.

How did you ini ally market ‘Total yoga’?
The most important thing was to take the Total Yoga
experience to people - so we did Yogi brunches and
Treks and invited people. Also, I wrote a column on
yoga in Pune Mirror. Online on Google ads, Website
and Blog and by having a young FB page. Also, having
posters in cafes etc.

What does brand ‘Total yoga’ stand for?
YOGA! And a Yoga-imspired lifestyle for urban folks.

Trends and hurdles in this domain

The main hurdle would be to establish to people the
benefits of yoga as opposed to other fitness ac vi es.
Bollywood and glamour is all pervasive; so young
Indians want to look like film-stars and opt for the gym
for quick results. It's only when they realize that there
are many more facets to their Personality that are not
being addressed there - then they turn to yoga. It may
take a few months or many years.
