Why I Hike

I have four healthy, rambunctious, easy going, fun loving, sometimes crazy, always perfect kids. I know this is my blessing, my gift, to have them. To be their mom, to see them grow, hear their giggles, cherish their hugs. I am very blessed. These four kids are my everything...I can't imagine, and I pray I never hear my child is sick with something I can't make better. Something I can't fix or cure with some hugs and kisses. Every day in the US 36 kids are diagnosed with a form of cancer. That number absolutely shocked me. 36 kids a day. And worse, of those 36, seven will not make it. I honestly feel in my heart that children are the responsibility of us all. It is our

responsibility to do everything in our power to protect them, all kids, not just our own.

I am taking part in the 2013 Ultimate Hike to help fund research of childhood cancer. I am asking you to help me reach my goal of $2500. On August 24, 2013, I will hike 25 miles along the Superior Hiking Trail in memory of those who have lost their battle, in support of those who are fighting for their young lives and in celebration of those who are cancer-free.

To make a donation, simply click on any available mile below to be directed to my donation page. Thank you for your support!
