The fire , tenacity and spunk of this young woman of God cannot be compared . Born and raised in the church , birthed in the spirit by her dad Elder McElroy of the Walnut Park Church of God in Christ in St . Louis Missouri . Evangelist Latasha Jackson has heard it all just being a preacher ’ s kid . The old saying is that the preachers kids are the worst kids in the church , preacher ’ s kids are not saved . In her book “ I ’ m Saved For Real ” Tasha takes a stand on her salvation and does not back down . I had the pleasure to sit down with this fireball to ask her a few questions in regards to her book .

Your new book “ I ’ m Saved For Real ” what is it really about . I know I have used the term before in the pretense of I ’ m saved and I know it . What does it mean to you ? First I ' d like to say that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead you shall be saved . This is paraphrased from Romans 10:9 . Being saved for real is the outward expression of the confession that you made to become saved . Being saved for real is really living the lifestyle of salvation which includes the relationship with God while highlighting sanctification and holiness . We are not Perfect being but we are striving .
When you take on any type of form of ministry , There are always spiritual attacks and warfare . How did you overcome the warfare ? My God , Let me just say this about spiritual warfare and attacks . It has no face , no time constraints , and no respect of person . If you are effectively ministering , meaning if one person ’ s life is being transformed by the Ministry that God has put in you . The War and attack is automatically assigned to you , and your ministry . I have to stay prayed up and in the presence of God when doing this typically I can discern the attack but many , many , many times have I been taken aback by the attacks . Due to taking my eyes off God and his will for my life . It takes spiritual wisdom and maturity to hear from God for direction in these very intense times . In spiritual warfare God gives me a boldness to speak to such times , have learned how to intercede and how to watch and pray . It takes faith , endurance , prayer , fasting at times and trust in God .
What would you say to someone who is just coming into the body of Christ about maintaining their salvation ? Get involved , and what I mean by that is .... don ' t stunt your growth by allowing your past to cripple you . Yes , when you get saved on Sunday Morning you feel blessed and good in your soul but the reality of your past is there to meet you Sunday afternoon right after church . This is when you have to STAND your ground and push through the assigned attacks . Join a ministry where the Gospel is being delivered through teaching , healing and preaching . Share your phone number with the leaders of the church so that you can be connected and be empowered . Make yourself available to attend church meetings such as prayer , bible study , and empowerment services . Do not think that you can make it in this world without building a relationship , fellowshipping and growing in Christ .
