Charles William ( Bill ) Hollins ( I , 54-58 ); died 9.10.2020 . Son of CH ; nephew of WHH , JCH , HH , FH and FUH , all Hopperites . Luton College of Technology 1958-61 , ONC ( Mech & Elect ). Worked for : Commer- Karrier , Luton 1958-65 ; Southampton University Library 1965-8 ; as a mechanic in the motor trade , Poole 1970-85 ; as a guide at Tank Museum , Bovington , 1985-9 ; and , finally , as a catering assistant at Poole Hospital 1989-2002 . He became disabled in 2002 and in 2012 entered Dorset House care home in Poole .
Martin Henry Norman Tattersall ( C , 54-59 ); died 30.8.2020 . Magdalene College Cambridge 1959-62 , college VIII 1962 , bumping four other crews – a feat that has since gone unrepeated ; 2 ( ii ) Nat Sci pts 1 & 2 ; University College Hospital Medical School 1962-5 , MB , BChir 1965 . He took time off in 1967-68 to visit Hanoi during the Tet offensive and sold icecreams to fund his attendance at the Mexico Olympics . MSc ( Lond ) 1973 ; MD 1975 ; and consultant physician Charing Cross Hospital 1974-6 . In 1977 he was appointed inaugural Professor of Cancer Medicine at the University of Sydney , the first such professor in the southern hemisphere . He held the post for over 40 years , the longest serving professor in Sydney University ’ s Medical Faculty . A prolific researcher and collaborator , he dedicated himself to improving the way that doctors communicate with their patients : he was the father of Australian medical oncology . His marriage was defined by a sense of shared adventure : he and Susan visited the Arctic on three occasions and Antarctica four times , including the completion of a multiday crossing – in blizzard conditions – of the mountainous and crevasseridden South Georgia , along the path followed by Sir Ernest Shackleton . He was also an avid collector of wine and a brilliant conversationalist . Married Susan Pearsall in 1970 , who survives him together with their three sons .
John Gordon Raymond Lloyd Lowles ( H , 55-60 ); died 2.5.2020 . Brother of GSLL . Fencing 1959-60 ( capt ); his only claim to cricketing fame was an inter-house match where he was bowled first ball by the Nawab of Pataudi . A year at Vienna Conservatoire studying composition ; Magdalene College Cambridge , 2 ( ii ) Mod Lang 1964 . Computer systems analyst ; teacher Finnish-British Society of Jyvaskyla 1964 and London School of English 1965 ; Head of Modern Languages and later Head of Music , at Staindrop School , County Durham . He was known for his huge contribution to the musical life in the local area : playing in , managing and organising concerts with international as well as local artists ; teaching various instruments as well as languages ; and running several choirs for adults and children , only retiring a year ago . For over a decade he was involved in the Chernobyl Children ’ s Project , a charity bringing children affected by cancer to Teesdale . Married ( 1 ) Judith Hill in 1967 ; ( 2 ) Pam Walker in 1993 , who died in 2004 . Survived by his first wife , their daughter and son , together with his four stepdaughters .

He facilitated the acknowledgement to Sir George Dyson with the commemorative plaque in Cloister .
