JR Somes ( C , 77-82 ) has published a revised edition of October Potter , written by his cousin Stanley Smith who in 1965 made a perilous journey across the North Sea and Kattegat to Sweden in a 14ft sailing boat of his own design and construction . Shipwrecked and almost drowned on the coast of Denmark , Smith recovered and after some repairs to the boat continued his journey to Sweden .
