Keeping Connected
The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force
on 25 May 2018 and will replace the 1998 Data Protection Act. It is a wide-
ranging law, which will govern how organisations collect and use the personal
data of individuals. It will also determine what we may contact you about
and how you would like to be contacted. The Wykehamical community has
been generously supporting the school since its foundation. We would like to
make sure that this tradition of philanthropy continues to the benefit of all.
The Information Commissioners Officer will be publishing the final guidance
in December, after which time we will have a clearer idea of what this will
mean for us. In the meantime, please do look at the Privacy Statement on our
website, www.wincollsoc.org, and do let Win Coll Soc know if you would prefer
not to receive communications from us. It matters to us that you are happy
with what you receive from Winchester and the way in which you receive it.
