expert. Still full of life and he even
had trips planned to Ethiopia and the
Magellan Straits but died in a tragic
car accident. Married Kozy Amemiya,
who survives him. Obituary in San

returned there after severe injuries
sustained in August 2018 as a result
of a fall during a walking holiday
in Spain. His courage, endurance,
humility, good grace and appreciation
of those looking after him after
were extraordinary. Married 1963
Georgina Miller, who died on 3 April
2016. Survived by their 3 sons and 2
daughters.
Timothy Julian Brooke-Taylor

the cult comedy series The Goodies,

followed by I’m Sorry I Haven’t A
Clue, launched in 1972 and now in
its 72 nd series and which was to prove
his most enduring success. Rector
