2024 TRIAL LAWYERS SUMMIT

The Summit kicked off with the coveted Ethicspalooza presentation , which delved into the complexities of legal ethics , with Doug Beam , Cash Sessler , and Ginger Jirik leading the session . After Ethicspalooza , the conference transitioned to the MTVA Reception at Preston ’ s Terrace , offering a prime networking opportunity for Mass Torts Vendor Association members . This event enabled attendees to forge connections within the Mass Torts community , setting the stage for collaborative discussions and establishing valuable partnerships . On the evening of Wednesday , January 17th , we were so excited to welcome back The National Black Lawyers Hall of Fame for the second year . This event was designed to bring together some of the most influential African American attorneys to induct living fellow attorneys into The National Black Lawyers Hall
of Fame . Three legal stalwarts were recognized at this year ’ s event : Wade J . Henderson , Bryan Stevenson , and Christina Swarns . “ The NBL Hall of Fame was aweinspiring ! We had not attended the inaugural event last year , but it was absolutely amazing !” - Nancy Romano .
The following morning , the excitement for the first full day of the Trial Lawyers Summit was unmistakable . Attendees gathered together for an engaging networking breakfast sponsored by Morgan & Morgan before breaking off to their sessions . The day unfolded into three insightful tracks : Business of Law , Courtroom Playbook , and Expanding Your Practice . In Business of Law , Ken Hardison led an overview of the 2024 marketing landscape for law firms , followed by sessions led by Seth Price delving into the enduring relevance of digital marketing , SEO , and more . The
Courtroom Playbook track , led by Doug Beam and Jeff Mitchell , included Joe Fried ’ s session on winning truck accident cases and Lyn Kiehl ’ s insights into identifying mild traumatic brain injuries with precision . Mark O ’ Mara initiated the Expanding Your Practice track , highlighting Criminal Defense sessions like John Ingrassia ’ s strategies in defending sex abuse cases and Robert Casale ’ s techniques in cross-examining experts . Networking opportunities were abundant , including a networking lunch sponsored by iLawyer Marketing , a snack break sponsored by MileMark Media , the First-Time Attendees Networking Hour sponsored by Iconographics , and the Criminal Defense Cocktail Hour by Rize Technologies . The day culminated in the Summit Kickoff Party with a live DJ , sponsored by Broughton Partners , providing an exciting end to a day of learning and networking .
