Biographies a passionate teacher who loves working with children and molding young minds. She has lived in two different cities in Korea in her four years there. Her first two years were in Gyeongju, one of the oldest and most traditional cities in Korea where she gained a vast amount of knowledge on traditional Korean history and culture. In 2015, she decided it was time for a change and moved to the heart of Incheon to the new city of Songdo, a city that is a mere ten years old and quickly gaining popularity as a hot spot for filming drama due to its incredible architecture and design. Over the last four years, La has come to call South Korea home and has traveled extensively both within Korea and in other Asian countries. She has made friendships and connections with people from all parts of Korea, as well as forming strong bonds with children at a local orphanage in Ulsan city. Her greatest joys include teaching, volunteering, discovering new places, connecting with locals and most importantly, sharing her experiences and stories through her photography. Nemanja Glumac I was born in Belgrade, Serbia. Actually, at that time it was called the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and it has changed names (and borders) 3 times to date. In just a little over 30 years, I’ve witnessed 3 wars (one of which was the brutal bombing and devastation of my country), one revolution and the assassination of one of our Prime Ministers. Being exposed to such troublesome events and history in my own country gives me the strength and patience today when working with sensitive groups of people struck with war, natural disasters, or civil disorder. I have also developed a much better understanding and far greater respect for other cultures and their fate. My formal education was tied to Architecture from which I hold a Masters Degree. It was in the middle of my studies that I fell in love with photography. Terminally. Izabel Antle Izabel Antle is a 16 year old aspiring writer and photographer originally from the U.S. She is currently travelling the world with her family, engaging in new experiences and capturing stories along the way. Her dream is to travel to every country in the world funded by freelance writing or English teaching jobs. Follow her and her family’s adventures at wheremycarryontakesme.wordpress.com. I have worked as a professional photographer for the last 10 years. It pays my bills, my trips around the world and it keeps me alive, or at least, gives me a very good reason for it. Vagabond and restless at heart, I have embarked on many journeys which have led me to many different countries and continents. South East Asia was home for 2 years of my life. I have many homes and I have none. The road is the home. One of my major passions is teaching and sharing my knowledge with others, as well as listening to their stories and always learning something new. Sharing truly is caring. After all, isn’t that what we’re put on this Earth for, anyway? Issue 4, 2016 | The Travellist 5
