Keong Kim , fixed income trader , Pinebridge Investments Keong Kim joined Pinebridge Investments in 2016 and is a trader with the fixed income team . He currently acts as the primary trader for emerging market corporates and supports coverage of emerging markets sovereigns and investment grade sectors . Sell-side counterparties describe Keong as “ extremely professional in all manors of communication , very personable young trader who manages his relationships expertly . Executes in a very fair way , ensuring little market impact and targeting enquiry across the street where he knows he can get liquidity .” Others add “ Keong does an excellent job at not only executing trades in a clean and efficient way , but also identifying opportunities from a fundamental and technical aspect in a challenging EM corporate world that has gotten more illiquid since the pandemic .” A number of brokers reference Keong ’ s “ fair ” and “ efficient ” approach . In 2020 , the team at PineBridge were awarded the emerging markets trading desk of the year by The TRADE .
Keong attained an MSc in Banking and International Finance from Bayes Business School and a BSC ( Honors ) in Mathematics with Business from Kingston University . He also is a CFA charterholder and holds an IMC and part one of the Society of Technical Analysis diploma .

Catriona Lawlor , FX trader , Baillie Gifford Cat Lawlor is an influential member of Baillie Gifford ’ s FX desk . After time managing operational roles within the firm , she joined the desk in February 2020 and is already expanding her skillset into fixed income . Highly regarded both within the team and wider firm , Cat is a great communicator and a trusted colleague “ establishing herself as a thought-leader and agent for change within the industry . She is humble yet determined and a great trader . In my opinion , Cat demonstrates the skills to be a future leader ” states one co-worker .
One of her latest projects involves leading a firmwide group exploring cryptocurrency markets and related execution avenues . Cat ’ s other focus is on driving positive change across the industry . She ’ s involved in a number of volunteering projects , including working with school-age pupils to increase awareness of careers within investment , and to encourage more women to choose such paths . Prior to Baillie Gifford , Cat spent over three years at Morgan Stanley . Cat ’ s background is in sport , where she played badminton , representing Scotland at junior international level .
