The TRADE ’ s Rising Stars of Trading and Execution returned for its eighth year , recognising 20 up-and-coming talents in buy-side trading that the TRADE and you , their peers , mentors , and colleagues believe have the most potential . Despite rail strikes and a lastminute date change threatening to de-rail The TRADE ’ s flagship event , Instinet ’ s managing director and head of execution sales , Seema Arora , and senior reporter at The TRADE , Annabel Smith , took to the stage to present 2022 ’ s budding buy-side talents with their crystals at The Savoy Hotel on 2 November .
Previous years ’ star-studded Rising Stars line ups feature some industry household names , many of whom have gone on to lead desks including Cathy Gibson , global head of trading at Ninety One , Ed Wicks , head of trading at Legal and General Investment Management , Alex Jenkins , head of trading at Polar Capital , and last year ’ s winner of Multi-Asset Trading Desk of the Year award , Graham Sorrell at State Street Global Advisors .
