EDOARDO TRAVERSI Fixed income senior trader , Pictet Asset Management Edoardo Traversi joined Pictet Asset Management in 2017 as a fixed income senior trader based in Geneva covering global macro and multi-asset strategies . Previously , Edoardo worked as a senior trader at Albemarle Asset Management for seven years ; this experience helped him cut his teeth and set the groundwork on data and trading technology . At Pictet AM alongside trading rates and FX , he also focuses on trading interoperability and automation , utilising data as the key element , to bring trading alpha to Pictet AM ’ s clients .
He is currently attending a programming course at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne ( EPFL ) which has been invaluable in helping with this work . Edoardo graduated in Business and Law from Middlesex University , and he holds the Investment Management Certificate ( IMC ).

EMMANUEL GBETUWA Equity trader , Fidelity International Emmanuel joined Fidelity ’ s trading desk in 2017 , having previously worked in the firm ’ s portfolio services group , where he attained his Investment Management Certificate . He graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2011 with a BSc in Economics before going on to join Fidelity .
He covers high-touch and systematic equity trading , ETFs , futures and options across EMEA as well as public side equity capital markets . Emmanuel has been commended as having “ all the attributes to go very far in this industry . Intelligent , hardworking , pro-active and hugely personable ”.

GARY HUGHES Trader , Comgest Gary Hughes joined Comgest in 2016 and is a buy-side equity trading specialist . Prior to his current position , he was head of Comgest ’ s middle-office in Dublin . Gary holds a Bachelor of Business Studies degree .

GEORGE JOHNS Fixed income rates trader , Schroders George is a rates trader within the fixed income team at Schroders , after joining the asset management firm in the spring of 2020 . His product focus is centred on G10 government bond , interest rate swap and futures markets .
Previously , he was an interest rate salesperson for Morgan Stanley , UBS and Credit Agricole . He started his career in the City of London as a markets economist for Barclays Capital . “ This nomination is very much a recognition of the strong team ethos within Schroders . Despite joining the firm in the midst of a global pandemic , I have been completely supported , successfully transitioning from the sell-side into a multifaceted and very busy buy-side execution role . I have enjoyed and relished every minute the challenge and this recognition is a great surprise .”
