ALEXANDRA SIMPSON Fixed income trader , Baillie Gifford Alexandra Simpson is a fixed income trader at Baillie Gifford , where she has worked since 2016 . She joined Baillie Gifford on the investment operations graduate programme after completing studies in international management with Spanish at the University of Bath .
Alexandra was subsequently placed in the trading team and now executes on behalf of the credit and multi-asset investment teams .

BARNEY PINK Junior equity trader , Janus Henderson Barney Pink is an equity trader at Janus Henderson Investors ( JHI ) with five years ’ experience in asset management . Shortly after graduating from Newcastle University with a bachelor ’ s degree in Biology , Barney joined JHI as a trainee working in derivatives risk . In 2018 , Barney made the transition onto the equity dealing desk as a junior trader .
As well as dealing , Barney ’ s work has seen him focus on developing visual analytics tools and predictive models to understand the costs of trading . Recognising the growing importance of data , Barney is currently studying part time for a master ’ s in data science at City , University of London .
