ANGELA RANDALL
Since join ing Baylor Health Care System
Foundation in 2007, Angela Randall has brought
sophistication, elegance and class to the more than
35 events the Foundation holds each year. In her role
as senior officer, she is responsible for overseeing all
event planning and details for these various
Foundation events. The biggest event is the annual
Celebrating Women luncheon, which raises funds
for Baylor Health Care System’s fight against breast
cancer, a cause very personal to Angela.
At 20 years old, Angela found a lump in her breast.
A follow-up biopsy concluded that the mass, thankfully, was benign. Angela’s close call inspired her
friend and co-worker to have a mammogram that
led to the diagnosis of stage 4 breast cancer. Thanks
to that life-saving mammogram and quality treatment, her friend is now a 12-year survivor.
“I am passionate about my work for Celebrating
Women because it gives me the opportunity to work
for a cause that not only raises support, but also
awareness of this disease,” said Angela. “I love being
a part of Baylor’s fight against breast cancer and helping to bring people together for a worthy cause at a
beautiful event. The hope is that the work we do for
the luncheon each year leads us one step closer to
someday finding a cure.”
Celebrating Women and other Foundation events
benefit greatly from Angela’s attention to detail and
her trained and talented eye, a skill she honed while
attending the highly acclaimed Booker T.
Washington High School for the Visual and
Performing Arts in Dallas as a dance major. Coupling
her numerous creative and artistic abilities with her
love of fashion and design, she coordinated a fashion show fundraiser benefiting the school, her first
of many successful events.
Matching Angela’s keen sense of creativity is her
pleasant demeanor and personality. When she is not
planning and coordinating events for the Foundation,
Angela enjoys spending time with family and friends,
especially her mother.
“My mother has shaped a lot of my thinking. I am
grateful she instilled in me at an early age to treat
others the way I want them to treat me. I have learned
that such a simple truth is one that will serve you
well all your life, and it has been foundational for me
both personally and professionally,” said Angela.
“Needless to say, if I had an extra hour in my day, I
would spend it shopping with my mom – the person
I admire most coupled with the fun of shopping –
what could be better!”
