Gary Brock receives THA Award for Distinguished Health Care Administration
The Texas Hospital Association( THA) has named Gary Brock, Baylor Scott & White Health executive vice president and chief integrated delivery network officer, the recipient of the 2016 THA Earl M. Collier Award for Distinguished Health Care Administration.
“ Gary Brock embodies the attributes of the late Earl M. Collier, for whom this award was named,” said Ted Shaw, THA president and CEO.“ His passion, depth of knowledge and operational expertise, and countless contributions to the health care industry set him apart as one of the nation’ s most dynamic, respected health care leaders.”
The Earl M. Collier Award for Distinguished Health Care Administration is the highest honor bestowed by the THA. It recognizes outstanding executives who have distinguished themselves through their contributions to the healthcare industry and their profession, who are leaders in providing quality healthcare services, and who are active in the THA and other industry groups.
“ I am deeply honored to receive this esteemed award,” Gary said.“ I credit my success as a health care administrator to one abiding practice— building relationships based on a solid foundation of trust.”
Gary has served Baylor Scott & White for more than 30 years in numerous roles. Following the 2013 merger with Scott & White Healthcare, he became the president of the legacy Baylor Health Care System before transitioning into his current role in 2015 as executive vice president and chief integrated delivery network officer.
