MEET THE OFFICERS

HISTORIAN

Meet our 2016-17 Historian, Leah Huzjak, from Cherry Creek High School

The Torch: What first sparked your interest in JCL?

LH: I first became interested in JCL through my school's Latin Club in freshman year.

The Torch: What are your goals this year for the COJCL?

LH: My goal this year as Historian is to make a scrapbook that really captures the spirit of the CoJCL to submit at the national convention in the summer.

The Torch: What are you most excited for this upcoming year (JCL-wise)?

LH: I'm most excited for the state convention in April! This will be my 3rd year going, and I can't wait to experience it this year as an officer.

The Torch: Favorite Latin quote/motto?

LH: "Quidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur" - Anything said in Latin seems profound.

The Torch: Any quirky or interesting facts about yourself, hobbites, relations, etc. that you would like to share?

LH: I like to paint and draw in my free time. My favorite medium is charcoal.
