Then it gets better. Right before our fourth game, we had acquired Danny Seigle from the free-market. Seigle decided not to sign with Barako Bull before the start of the conference and was without a team. The news then came out that TNT was interested with the athletic power forward and it finally materialized, but had to relegate Ali Peek to injured list, also a need for Peek to rest and heal completely. Danny Seigle, still playing, in whatever team, is a sight to behold. Him playing with our team is just amazing.
This Philippine Cup will be extremely challenging for the team. Some PBA teams had extensively improve their line-up like Barangay Ginebra, Globalport Batang Pier, even TNT’s sister team Meralco Bolts. A lot is expected as well from Rain-or-Shine, Petron Blaze, and San Mig Coffee Mixers whom had acquired quality players from the draft beside their already strong line-up. And not to be underestimated as well is Alaska Aces and Air21 Express who had showed brilliance last season. When PBA Philippine Cup previews came, TNT was not in everyone’s list as a favorite to win it. But no matter, TNT will always be dangerous in this conference. The experience will show, the resiliency will always be there, the faith is always there.
