Nonoy Baclao – A legitimate center is what the team has been longing for. Ali Peek and Kelly Williams, though under height, had proven they can compete to any other tall guys in the league, but with the emergence of the likes of Greg Slaughter plus the big improvements of Japeth Aguilar and Jun Man Fajardo, Talk N Text suddenly
become an underdog against these teams. The trade sending 2010 1st pick Noy Baclao to TNT was good news for the player and the team. Back with his college coach Norman Black, Baclao will certainly have the playing time he had been
longing to get and the team will have a big men who will try to compete and help Williams and Peek against the giants of the others.
Jai Reyes – another Reyes in the team, Jai is like the others who were proven winners. He was a winner under Coach Norman Black during his college days, and then was able to play for the ABL and have played as well. Him being back in the PBA, with his old coach, with his old practice gym in Ateneo, it all seems familiar to him. Recently in the TNT’s game, whenever he is called out, he delivers, like he used to do before. Like Poligrates, he will learn so much from Alapag and Castro and that’s another good thing for him and also for the team.
Rob Reyes – Rob is back home, to the first team who drafted him. Unfortunately, he is nursing an injury but should be back soon. The thing is, TNT was in a selection dilemma as they currently have 5 active Fi-foreign players in their line-up. Ali Peek is already relegated as he needs to also heal from injuries as well. But it shouldn’t be a problem for the team and Rob. He for sure will deliver and help the team in anyway.
John Ferriols – Tisoy John, is definitely providing his veteran smarts for the team, in practices and in games. He had proven already he can still play and had provided quality numbers for the team. Just like everyone, he will be crucial, to help the team, and to help the other young big guys we currently have.
