Closing Ceremony
by Sklavounakis George
It’s the last day of the conference! The program includes the General Assembly and the closing
ceremony. The entire procedure ran smoothly, and there were several delegates who distanced
themselves from the pack due to their will and ambition to contribute as much as possible to the
process and to express their country’s policy on the various subjects that were discussed in the firmest
way possible. The General Assembly was followed by the closing ceremony of the conference. The
procedure started with a speech delivered by Mr. Ioannis Amanatidis, the Greek Secretary of State
of Foreign Affairs, aiming to inspire students by telling them not to give up on their dreams. Soon
after, it was time for the chairs to thank the board, their delegates and everyone else who positively
contributed to the final result (*coughs* the
media team was, of course, included), and they
awarded the best-performing delegates of their
committee. Then, Fotini Zarogianni, this year’s
Secretary General, had the floor and, delivering
her final speech, she said that it was her last time
at Arc MUN, and she closed the ceremony by
quoting “House of Cards” Frank Underwood:
“If you don’t like how the table is set, turn over the table.”.
And this was exactly the goal of this year’s
conference. See you next year!
