The next crisis proves the previous directive of no use. Czechoslovakia is very much affected in 1938,
after the German invasion. Greece is the next country that’s taken down, after Italy and Bulgaria,
both Hitler’s allies, invade it.
Immediate actions have to be taken. A treaty is proposed from the allies to militate Hitler’s
aggressive spreading in Europe. The Treaty of Athens is signed by all the members of the LoN
except Italy and Bulgaria.
The official document states:
“Taking into account the pressing situation in Czechoslovakia
Considering the aggressive behavior of Bulgaria towards Greece
Further realizing the aggressive behavior of Italy towards Greece
With a view to prevent a potential war from happening
We, the member states of the Lon, propose:
1) The expulsion of the delegations of the Kingdom of Italy and Bulgaria from the League of
Nations
2) The blockade of the aforementioned nations of Bulgaria and Italy on a diplomatic, political
and financial level
3) The setting of a commercial and economic embargo towards Bulgaria, Italy and any other
nation affiliated with Nazi Germany
4) The welcoming of the support of nations of the USA and USSR
5) The military support of the members of the LoN to Czechoslovakia, Greece and any other
country that may be threatened in the future by Nazi Germany and other affiliated countries
6) The united powers of LoN coalition stand ready to battle against the Nazis and Fascist
forces, and their plan is to secure the key
location of Prague.”
In the year 1939 everything seems positive for the
League of Nations. Hitler is taken down by the united
actions of the member states, and the war is over.
The delegates made it. THEY CHANGED
HISTORY. And the outcome is the best it could be.
