MOST CHALLENGING PART OF
MIDWIFERY FOR YOU
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO BECOME
A MIDWIFE?
Sometimes understanding concepts. Because
of language barriers, but I'm working very
hard on it, and appreciate my peers' patience
with me.
A sweet friend who was also interested in
midwifery, invited me to a meeting. My first
exposure to drawing blood. I didn't think it
was for me. Later, someone else invited me
to work with them, but again, didn't feel it.
Finally, the third time I was invited to be a
student at the Community School of Midwifery (CSM). I prayed about it, and realized
a "Higher" force was calling me to this
field.Midwifery is an ever learning and
rewarding career. I have learned and continue to learn from amazing people.
SOMETHING THAT MIGHT SURPRISE US
ABOUT YOU
In my "younger" years I danced for a tv
program, white water rafting, Belly, African,
and East Indian dancing. 3rd degree belt in
Karate.
Woman, hear the call.
What can I do
As one so small?
I press, I hold, I stand.
But cannot solve
With one weak hand.
Sisters come, our hearts are strong.
Together we
Turn notes to song.
A tiny cry, love's labor done.
An ancient honor
We've begun.
THE CALL
