Historic Highlight The Top O ’ Hill Terrace was a nightclub that operated from the years 1921 until 1949 . Considered the ‘ Vegas before Vegas ’, this nightclub was known to allow illicit gambling , and during the time of prohibition , illegal alcohol . After numerous raids over the years , the nightclub closed and was sold in 1952 .
Dog Park Rush Creek Dog Park has separate areas for large and small dogs to play off-leash .
Historic Highlight The Fielder House was built for Mr . and Mrs . James Park Fielder , Sr . as their private residence in 1914 . The twostory house was one of the first brick homes in Arlington .

Wildlife Watching Tierra Verde Golf Club is the first municipal golf course in the world to achieve the distinction of an Audobon Signature Sanctuary . The course was designed so that wildlife habitats and waterways would not be disturbed . Visitors have the opportunity to birdwatch and view wildlife while golfing in this urban ecosystem .
Wildlife Watching O . W . Fannin Natural Area is a hiker ’ s dream with a main paved path and softsurface paths branching off throughout . It also connects with F . J . “ Red ” Kane Park , which has plenty of parking , a playground , picnic tables and grills , fishing , and practice fields .

Bad Königshofen Family Aquatic Center Arlington ’ s Sister City , Bad Königshofen , is the namesake of this aquatic center . The long-standing relationship between the two cities began in 1951 when Mayor Vandergriff was visited by Königshofen City Manager Kurt Zuhlke . In addition to several pools and water slides , the aquatic center features agrarian elements , built to resemble the style of the German town .
