Katerina explains her process of changemaking within her work in the world : “ I lead a team of service designers , change management experts and behavioural scientists who are all focused on making our organization ' s work and culture , more human-centred . A large part of what we do is collect stories of people ' s experiences and help them see that they are not alone and that their voice matters . By sharing stories , we see employees more open to cocreating solutions and sharing ideas and even further committed to championing and implementing the changes that they have helped to design . We listen to stories at the beginning of this process .”
She describes herself and her work as “ a passionate artist and warrior for new systems and models for peaceful co-existence .”
Katerina is also familiar with the power of inspiring stories at a young age . She recounts , “ One of the most influential stories in my life was Anne of Green Gables . This was a staple for many young Canadian girls but as the child of immigrants , I was struck by this young girl who didn ' t fit in like others and who forged a unique and passion-filled life for herself even when her choices were not the easiest or the most popular . Just thinking about it makes me smile at the wisdom and knowing within my younger self .”
