The 2014 Annual Meeting. By all accounts, the 2014 Annual
Meeting in downtown Fargo was a resounding success! We had
a record number of full registrants for the meeting, the CLE
content was fantastic, and the different venues were a hit with the
members! Fargo cooperated with good weather, and members were
able to reconnect with old friends, and meet new ones as well. Our
sponsors liked the new format and feel, and we will incorporate
some of these changes into the 2015 Annual Meeting in Bismarck.

Past President Nancy Morris. The vision for the new format for
the 2014 annual meeting started with Nancy. She worked tirelessly
to make sure the meeting was different, but not just for the sake
of being different. As a self-proclaimed annual meeting junkie,
she wanted others to have the kind of experiences she has had at
past annual meetings, while enjoying new venues and experiences.
She began with the hope that lawyers will want to return to the
annual meeting time and time again. I enjoyed working with her
immensely. Nancy is the kind of leader of whom SBAND can be
proud.

The Future! I’m excited about the future of SBAND, and hope to
accomplish more this year than last. We are here for you, so let me
know if there is anything I or the staff can do for you.
