Meet Ann Truitt, our new Deacon
If you read the September 12th Resurrection
e-Notes, you learned all of the “facts” about
Ann Truitt. You learned of her career with
the U.S. State Department, you learned
about her Masters in Theological Studies
from Wesley Seminary, and you learned how
she took additional course work in Anglican
Studies at Virginia Theological Seminary.
But those facts just skim the surface. After
you meet Ann, you will realize how much of
a very personable, warm person she is. She is
very excited about the opportunity to work
with the congregation at Resurrection. She is
bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to our community.
In preparation for joining us, Ann has been reading our church website and has learned a lot about the church
as a whole and us as individuals through these readings. She is looking forward to working with us in all the
areas of our church life from our worship together to the forum discussions to the Sunday night suppers to
the kids in the
Sunday school to the Lenten pot lucks.
Having been a classmate of both Jo and Bernard at VTS, she has developed a keen interest and appreciation
for Resurrection. She is excited and can’t wait to start assisting at Resurrection and to become involved in the
life of the church. And, neither can we!
