So, our goals for her this year are more for ourselves… to meet her needs and not rush her. When meeting new parents of a child with special needs, what advice do you share with them? I rarely offer advice without being asked because, let’s be honest, parents know their children better than anyone else. I would rather encourage the parents because so many feel like they are inadequate to meet their child’s needs. What a lie! In an age where information is at our fingertips, we can use our God-given instincts to hone in on our children, find their delays, and research ways to support and encourage their growth. It is not easy. Days can be frustrating and long. But the investment is worth the struggle. Looking into the future, what do you wish for your child? I have so many questions when I think about Lira’s future. Will she drive? Will she marry? Will she have children? But honestly, I just want her to be happy. I have no idea what God has ordained for her life but I rest well knowing that he has a plan for her that is beyond what I can imagine. What motivated you start your business? When I first started blogging, I had no idea I was starting a business. I thought I was sharing tips for saving money with others and did not realize that blogging could be profitable until a year later. We were living on one salary and in severe debt. I needed a way to increase our income and had tried multiple businesses from home. The more I learned about blogging, the more I realized that this was my dream career. I have the benefit of being a writer (which I always wanted to be) and could stay home with my children. Juggling a business can be difficult for anyone.
