The Official Newsletter of the Southwest CKI District Volume 2 Issue 5 August 2013 Meet our International Trustee for Sub-Region B! Hello Southwest District! My name is David Limjoco and I'm honored to be serving as your Subregion B International Trustee for the 2013-2014 Term. The districts within Subregion B are the California-Nevada-Hawaii District, the Rocky Mountain District, and your very own Southwest District. I hope that we can get to know each other but that you can get to know the members of the other districts too! Previous to this position I've served as my club's Secretary and the CNH District Secretary as well as serving as a member of the CNH Kiwanis Family Committee and the chair of the International SPICE (Social Potential Innovative Club Enhancement) Committee. These experiences have given me knowledge on many areas of CKI and I hope I can bring these experiences to assist you and everyone else in our subregion this year with all of your needs. So if you have any questions, have any suggestions, or just want to talk feel free to email me at: [email protected] or call/text me at [phone] Outside of CKI I'm a Senior at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with an Environmental Science Major and an interest in going to public health graduate school after serving in either the Peace Corp or Americorps. I currently conduct research on soil cores to see climate change, am a part of an organization that teaches health issues to elementary and middle school students about health issues, and am in-between internships. So I have a lot of other interests other than CKI that we can talk about :) I have a game for you all, it's called 2 truths and a lie. Can you guess which one of these is a lie? 1. I am related to royalty. 2. I have an extra bone in my rib-cage. 3. I have donated platelets more than 30 times during my collage career. Try and guess and tell me what you think when we meet! I can't wait to meet many of you during my District Visit later this month or during your Fall Rally and talk to you about CKI or life in general!
