Here are a few photos of projects we have done this spring and summer. This is a group of UNM CKI members participating in Spring Storm. Spring Storm is an annual, campus-wide service project run by UNM students to benefit the community around UNM. This year, UNM CKI volunteered at Endorphin Power Company, an organization that focuses on improving the lives of people who are struggling with substance abuse and homelessness. UNM CKI worked to cultivate a community garden that will be therapeutic to many people in need. Here is UNM CKI at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kid’s Sake event. The event was a bowl-a-thon, with many groups donating time and money to raise funds for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. This organization is a mentoring agency that sponsors positive role models for kids in need. UNM CKI is looking forward to working with Big Brothers Big Sisters in the future. This is a photo of UNM CKI participating in Carhopping for Tips, a fundraiser for the club. Club members hopped, walked, and skated to cars at a Sonic Drive-In, and collected tips to fund the club’s expenses for DCON and LSSP, as well as future service projects.
