she could not provide a meaningful answer, just
say that you prefer to move it back. You may want
to lighten the mood by addressing it with humor
explaining that tombstones do not belong on
altars. Whatever you do, be direct but keep your
cool. Confrontation does not have to be negative.

Hey Steve,
Last month, you advised me to “go for
it” with my guy friend that’s 20 years
younger. I did. We are getting along well.
We have decided not to give it a title, but
we are good friends, learning a lot about
each other. You said I should teach this
“young buck” a few things. Well, I have.
He is learning how to listen intently and
not always dominate the conversation.
However, what we have both noticed is
that we are experts in our worlds. There is
so much that he knows about dentistry and

serious about everything. He is teaching me
how to take time to smell the flowers and not
always rush from one event to the next. We
don’t know what the future holds, this is one
of the best friendships I’ve experienced in a
