One School Block Constructed
At Chiwinga Primary School in Malawi, The Sonder Project, in partnership with buildOn, completed the final school block needed to ensure that all 526 registered students in grades 1-8, will learn in a fully refreshed, high-quality, and safe classroom. The students, the teachers, and the greater community, all have a newfound sense of pride in their school, encouraging academic success for generations to come.
A Well for Senenje
Previously relying on a shallow, contaminated open well, The Sonder Project drilled a deep-water well for Malawi’ s Senenje Primary School with over 150 students in grades 1-8. This new well will provide clean, safe water significantly improving school attendance, health and well-being. With access to reliable water, Senenje’ s students no longer have to walk long distances to wash their hands or have a drink of water, allowing them to focus on their education. The surrounding community members will also benefit from the new well.
