An interview with Dr. K. Ullas Karanth
Dr. K. Ullas Karanth is a renowned tiger
conseravationist and NITK alumnus (Mechanical
Engineering, 1966-71). The recipient of prestigious
awards such as the J. Paul Getty Award for
Conservation Leadership (2007), Rajyothsava Award
from the Government of Karnataka (2010) and the
Padma Shree by the Government of India (2012),
he is presently the Technical Director of Wildlife
Conservation Society - India, and the Director of the
Centre for Wildlife Studies, Bangalore.
