● Connecting the pulley system to the door assembly
1. Using the cordless power drill, connect the 20’’ long pieces of wood in the pulley
system to the top 12’’ piece of wood so that they are perpendicular to each other.
First drill holes with the 0.125’’ drill bit at each end of the 12’’ piece of wood and
then make the connections with 2’’ wood screws.
2. Clamp support pieces to the 20’’ pieces of wood.
3. Using the cordless power drill, drill holes through the supports and 20’’ pieces of
wood with the 0.125’’ drill bit.
4. Using the cordless power drill, connect the supports and 20’’ pieces of wood with
2’’ screws.
● Connecting the claw system to the door assembly
1. Using the cordless power drill, connect the 20’’ long pieces of wood in the claw
system to the middle 12’’ piece of wood so that they are perpendicular to each
other. First drill holes with the 0.125’’ drill bit at each end of the 12’’ piece of
wood and then make the connections with 2’’ wood screws.
● Connecting the claw system to the pulley
1. Thread one end of the rope through the open hole on the outer claw.
2. Securely tie the end which is through the claw.
3. Drape the other end of the rope over the pulleys.
