Interview with Sarah Moore of Smorelovin Blog  IF YOU ARE, WERE, OR WANT TO BE A CREATIVE, YOU NEED TO HEAR WHAT SARAH MOORE HAS TO SAY. Hi Sarah! Tell us a little about yourself. Hey Sola :) Thanks again for having me! I am an Interactive Designer by day, which means I do a lot of the technical stuff for large-scale interactive experiences (think large scale applications that make your life easier.) I always mention this because the technical side of what I do by day is a huge motivator for the more creative projects that I take on in the evening. I love getting to focus on functionality in my work because it means that when I step over to my side projects I have all of this awesome creative energy ready to burst out! On my own time I do a lot of brand development as well as hand-lettering projects. I also love to get outside and hike/bike/take on anything that gets me away from a computer. Explain your creative style? Such a tough thing to do! I think my creative style is heavily dependant on my mood. Sometimes I illustrate these crazy mixed up figures that have a really dark vibe, like a baby head on gangly legs and arms with no body, and the next day I am writing out “All the Good Things” with sparkly things and plants all around it, haha! I like not nailing myself down to one thing because it’s really about getting out whatever is in my head that needs to get out at that minute - that’s what makes my creative projects so worth it for me. What does “being creative” mean to you? It’s all about following your instincts. I think creativity thrives in people who are able to trust their intuition and blindly follow whatever they are feeling at that time. Does that mean you will maybe not always have the best result? ABSOLUTELY, I have piles of old sketchbooks that are 75% crap, but the other 25% make it all worth it and I wouldn’t have developed that stuff without the ‘crap’.
