"They call me the event-attender"
Interview with Sean Bierne:
Host: Sean, after briefing the album of PDC pictures for the year, I've noticed that you are consistently featured with a striking pose, what is your secret?
Sean: You know, I get that a lot. People are always asking me how I know when the moment is right. To that I respond - every moment is right.
Host: Excellent answer. For the fans out there wishing to have stunning profiles captured, what advice do you give?
Sean: Easy. 2 things. Write this down. ATTEND EVENTS. They call me the event-attender. Not only does this greatly enhance the probability of your picture being taken, it also gives you time to locate the secret photographer. BE PREPARED. I always have a plan, whether it be gear, the style pose, or aeronautical teleportation.
Rx for Hope
13
Every year, Alpha Sigma raises money fro St. Jude with the Rx for Hope email campaign, in addition to other rush activities and our 5K. We kicked off the campaign October 19th with a pizza party. We managed to raise $16,485 over the course of the campaign, with about 60 brothers participating and 24 of them raising $200 or more. Alpha Sigma also benefitted from a bonus amount raised this year thanks to our Greek Week victory over UIC’s Kappa Psi chapter on February 25th. The winning fraternity received the cash raised from one of the events to be
donated to the charity of our choice. Our victory netted us $265 more dollars towards our St Jude total, as well as a sizeable boost in fraternal pride. Our final fundraising event for the year was our annual 5k Run/Walk for St Jude that we hosted in Montrose Harbor. We had to change the date from our regular April 16th date to April 23rd due to a conflict with Easter Sunday, but we were rewarded with some amazing Chicago weather. We had about 200 runners and volunteers come out and participate, including close to 90 brother, ultimately raising about $3,500.
