In September, Alpha Sigma hosted their annual barbeque in Arrigo Park to kick off the recruitment period. The entire chapter showed up wearing Old Gold and Dregs of Wine and talked to potential candidates while brothers grilled up hot dogs, hamburgers as well as vegetarian options. There were also a few games of bags, frisbee, and soccer being played. AAAE was exhibited immensely throughout the entire event. Brothers pitched in with supplies and helped with various tasks to help make sure it was a smooth, fun event. Fourth year brothers also came out to talk to the potential candidates as well as catch up with their brothers. Brothers and potential candidates alike enjoyed themselves by discussing pharmacy and what Phi Dex means to them!

The Start: Organization Day
Old gold and dregs of wine filled COP to welcome the shining faces of potential new brothers. 60 active brothers enthusiastically placed leis onto the P1 class. The PDC table was decorated with a tri-panel poster board and a photo album with photos of events from the previous year. These photos were great conversation starters to describe the achievements of PDC and activities brothers participated in. Shirts, sweatshirts, and hats were displayed on the table to promote our letters and brotherhood. Active brothers networked with the P1 and P2 class with professionalism and excitement as these students could be their new brothers. Interested students provided their contact information to stay up to date with upcoming PDC recruitment events.
