Midwest Regionals

2018 brought about many changes and events, and since it is an even year, Phi Delta Chi’s Midwest Regional Conference was one of such events. This year’s event was hosted by the Beta Delta chapter and took place at the St. Louis college of pharmacy from March 16th to March 18th. Members of our chapter partook in workshops on ritual and tradition, as well as development of professional leadership skills. Brothers voted on a new Regional Correspondent, which was won by Amanda Wiedemeier from the Psi chapter. Along with this change, the recommendation to change the title of Regional Correspondent to Regional Director of Student Affairs was passed and will be finalized/voted on at the next Grand Council meeting. Alpha Sigma’s mascot, Alphie, was taken by Gamma Sigma so now we will look to visiting their chapter to get him back. Overall, the brothers who attended this year said that this event is a great opportunity to network with brothers from the Midwest chapters and that they highly recommended other brothers to attend the next one, which will be held in the spring of 2020.

Soldier Field and the Bonds that Get Formed

Bears games are like that overbearing relative that we all hate to love. We all dread the day,

but when it comes we embrace it, we own it, and we push through it together. The Bears games bring us closer as brothers by forcing us to work together in an unfamiliar environment. Each game that PDC has been involved in has been a success thanks to the dedication from our e-board team leaders and all brothers coming together to help raise funds for our chapter. Bears is an amazing opportunity provided to us and is essential for our chapter to raise money. It is

an extremely effective way for our chapter to raise the funds we need to sustain our events. Working Bears' games is something that each brother will remember forever: the good, the bad, and the ugly. So although we may sometimes dread spending time with that one relative, we do appreciate and learn from them, and also the birthday money isn’t bad!
