Navigating Collaborations and Embracing Technology

Collaborations can be magic . Who are some artists you dream of working with ? And some you loved working with over the years
It was super important for me to start working with Karan Kanchan and Karan Parikh because I wanted cinematic feel but with something rhythmically disjointed as that is how I felt in so many years of my life
The end where the monster arrives is where all the rhythm comes together and its a celebra-tion .
I already comes with Karan Kanchan before so I it felt natural . With Karan Parikh we were able to hone in and create the layers .
Then we worked on Mix and Master with JJ ( Jehangir Jehangir ) from Island City in Bombay and he spent so much time and love on this . There were about 4 or 5 versions of this .
The musical experience has been really good . I can ’ t wait to take it live and play it with a band . That will be fun .
In a world where technology is constantly evolving , how do you incorporate it into your music-making process ?
I am a bit old-school . I use technology as and when needed . I use a software to jot down ideas . With so many options , I feel overwhelmed . So , I stick to what I know , which is to be very organic in the song writing and creating process .
That ’ s where Karan Parikh comes in , we both went to MI ( Musicians Institute , California ) and we both started with Rock n Roll so he understands why I need to re-create the ambiance of a band that I miss so much .
Now , let ’ s dive into your social media presence . How do you balance being authentic while also engaging with your fans ?
Annoying Auntie , I ’ ve lost the filter and I have been asking everyone about it .
For me , social media was first a means to address things that I don ’ t get to address oth-erwise .
Then I got so much flak for that .
While many people value that my social media is my true identity and then I get called Chudail , Negative and Dark and other stuff .. and I say , Thanks , that how I felt at that moment .
I grew up watching people be themselves and it inspired me . I am celebrating being a misfit now , so my Instagram isn ’ t for everyone at this point of time , it is for me .
With the rise of immersive experiences like virtual reality concerts , if you could design a one-of-akind concert experience for your fans , what would it be like ? Describe the elements that would make it truly unforgettable .
It depends on the phase of life . I love large spaces that feel intimate because that ’ s life . It should have an element of intimacy . Whether its virtual or real life , I want my audi-ence to feel I am with them .
I want people to feel as if they ’ ve come to their weird metal head best friend ’ s room .
