1 . Tell us about the making of your latest EP , the process and how long it took to bring it together
Sharad : Well , it took us 2 years from when the songs were written to when they were released . The first two songs were ‘ Enemy ’ and ‘ Makin ’ my Move ’, they were most challenging because it was during lockdown and travel was restricted . But through many remote calls and visits to different studios across the country we managed to record and release them .
2 . What ’ s the story behind the name of the EP ?
Abraham : The name reflects how we felt at the time of making this EP . Stuck in a cycle , unable to break out . The songs in the EP talk about this feeling in more detail .
3 . Talk to us about the production process of this EP – what ’ s different from before ?
Sharad : First , Sanyanth creates the basic structure with the melody and lyrics . Once that is done , the whole band sits together and structures the song in a rehearsal studio . We then play it live and make the necessary tweaks based on what works and what doesn ’ t .
In terms of recording process , first we create a demo track so that we can get an idea what elements we want . Then we record the rhythm section ( drum , bass , acoustic guitar ) and then the harmonic instruments ( violin , electric guitar , keys and flute ) and finally the vocals .
