Collaboration is a key part of the music industry , and many successful musicians have worked with other artists to create new and innovative sounds . How do you approach collaboration , and what advice would you give to musicians who are looking to work with other artists in the industry ?
I am a huge fan of collaborations and I have collaborated with artists from around the world for over twenty years . Artists wanting to collaborate with other artists is a personal choice and I encourage such artists to keep up to date with technology as that makes the entire creative process seamless .

Being an environmentalist , what global issue do you think needs immediate attention of the public and are you involved in any social initiative to address it ?
It is extremely difficult to compartmentalise and rank issues pertaining to our environment based on urgency as there are several factors that contribute to each major issue . We all know that our carbon emissions have to be contained and eventually lowered in order to counter global warming . To do this , we have to move away from fossil fuels , from intensive farming techniques of both crops and animals , stop rapid deforestation , etc . Fossil fuels also affect the air and millions of people around the world perish from air pollutionrelated diseases . Intensive farming techniques of crops greatly reduce biodiversity due to monoculture whereas intensive farming techniques of animals use highly unethical and inhumane practices for greater yield . Rapid deforestation and habitat loss are major driving forces when it comes to species extinction . Not to forget - plastics and their effects , freshwater pollution , ocean acidification , and their threat to marine life . Therefore , all of this is interlinked . As consumers , we have to make concrete changes within our own lives to address these issues . We have to change our demands to disrupt the supply chain . What we need is a change in consciousness and behaviour . We need to consume less of everything . We have to vote for leaders who are environmentally conscious and we have to support businesses that are environmentally responsible . I am involved with several organisations working on all of these issues .
Can you tell us about any future projects you have in the pipeline , and how do you plan to continue pushing creative boundaries in your music ?
I do have several exciting projects in the pipeline , as well as many live concert performances , lined up starting with the G-20 Summit in Bengaluru . I am also collaborating with Stewart Copeland again on a massive new project and I am really excited to start work on that .

I have several dream stages that I can think of but for now , I would love to perform in front of historical monuments in India such as the Red Fort or the Taj Mahal .
