After debuting BIG with K-pop group AA , Aoora moved from boy band stardom to solo acclaim . He ’ s been composing and performing in Korea for years , until in 2022 he came across the music video for “ Cham Cham ” from Baaghi .
Instant magic . Minjun fell in love with the beats and dived into Indian music . He went all the way back to Disco Dancer ( 1982 ), and decided that K-pop and Bollywood beats belong together .
He released his own vision of the iconic Bappida anthem Jimmy Jimmy . After it went significantly viral , Aoora connected with Indian fans , and has followed up with another track from the same film .
So , we caught up with Aoora on Auva Auva , his love for Indian beats and why he wants to be the prince of Mumbai .

Let ’ s start with the obvious . Where did your interest in Indian ( especially Bollywood ) music come from ?
About a year ago I first saw the “ Cham Cham ” music video … it was around the summer of 2022 . From then on , I became interested in Indian music videos and music . The video had such fun energy that completely vibed with me .
Also , I made a reel on it that went viral ! Thanks to that , I started getting a lot of references to Indian songs which I started exploring .
The rest is history .
