Soul sisters, music junkies and the most noted
female DJ duo in India, Nina and Malika pack
punch with their soul electrifying music.
Being women in a music scene which is
dominated by men comes with its own
challenges. “Everyone is a vicptim of
judgment based on perception. The
way we overcome it is by changing the
judgment by skill and talent/playing a
killer set!” they say.
Where did the story behind two beautiful ladies becoming
one of the most popular DJ duos in the country begin? It
all had to do with their love for music. “We love house
music and had lots of DJ friends so we just learnt for fun.
It started out a hobby and snowballed into a career!”
Only this year, the duo has played at around 52 gigs.
Having played at big EDM stages like Sunburn, Goa and
DJing at over a hundred venues across the country, the pair
is taking their music international. They are all set to go on
an America tour. Though details haven’t been shared just
yet, there’s definitely something big waiting. And how do
they feel about the tour? Playing for their very first time in
America, they’re extremely excited.
