Downtown High School to finish up her Senior year of high school without worrying about problems and uncalled for situations.

Once she transferred schools, things were going much better for Ashante. She felt better about her education after getting away from all the drama and negativity from her last school. She felt that she had a better time going to school.

On December 2nd, 2014, Ashante was coming home from school where she saw her family in distraught. She went to go investigate what was going on to find that her grandmother was being rushed to the hospital. She was very devastated. She rushed to get to the hospital with the rest of her family. She got there to find out that her grandmother only had 1 hour to live. She was in disbelief as she she never saw this day coming. Her grandma passed away the morning of December 3rd, 2014 at 1:18am. Ashante didn't let her severe lost stop her life and her education. She remembered her vow to her grandma and carried it out.

Ashante has graduated from Downtown High School on May 28th, 2015 and has recieved The Mason Scholarship Award to help her pay for her school expenses. She goes to Langston University in Langston, Oaklahoma to pursue a career in nursing.
