Rap Deteriorates The Teenage Brain
If you are anything like myself, you will find yourself listening to music while you eat, sleep, cook, shower, workout, the list can go, and there is only so far your (most likely) played-out playlist can go, if you find yourself becoming bored with yours, have no fear because with 2017 coming to an end and all these holidays just around the corner, many artists have been releasing new singles, new collaborations, and new albums. Music is something that i hold very close to me, I love listening to music at all times, so going to put you all onto my current favorite songs.
Firstly I am going to tell you about my favorite songs under the rap category. A “good rap” song has different components, sometimes it will be lyrically complex complete with proper enunciation, other times a bunch of gibberish with a catchy beat ( sometimes if you can understand it you will come to find that many seemingly nonsensical rap songs are actually lyrically complex and include different metaphors and play on words), many times also It will be literally nonsensical and repeat “gucci gang” a hundred thousand times, I will also include these because I know how they appeal to youngins in 2017, personally I enjoy all of these songs in the rap genre in moderation of course, because as we all know too much of a good thing can quickly become a bad thing, and I would rather not brainwash myself
by listening to profanity, and female degradation all day, but let’s save that lecture for another day and get straight to the point.
1.”Roll in Peace- Kodak Black ft XXXtentacion” this song has a great beat as well as lyrics, this song has the potential to make one emotional.
2.”Kevin Gates- Imagine That” I LOVE this song, the beat is catchy but the lyrics and meaningful, very uplifting and positive.
3. “Sleep Walkin’- Mozzy” If you live in the Bay Area you might be familiar with this song, it is about a struggle that many people can identify with, its lyrics are amazing, Highly recommend it! 4.” Win- Tee Grizzley” Yet another song about past struggles and current prosperity, this song is new and If you happened to enjoy “First Day Out” you will more than likely enjoy this song as well.
5. “Catch me outside-$ki Mask The Slump God” This song is in between because it has no real meaning, but you can understand it clearly, and It is VERY catchy.
6. “Gucci Gang- Lil Pump” of course I had to include this, despite being completely nonsensical to the point that you lose a couple of million brain cells every time you listen to it, I ashamed to say this song is actually quite good, It was stuck in my head for several days, and it makes me hyperactive trust me,listen to this before working out and you will no longer need to spend $50 on pre-workout supplements.
Now, for my current favorite “regular” songs (not rap). I enjoy r&b, hip-hop, and we can’t
forget Latin music, these are songs that I listen
to on more of a daily basis, as they don’t rot my brain cells, these are perfect for when you want to dance with your significant other, sing to yourself, or work.
1.”Pills and Automobiles - Chris Brown, Yo Gotti,A boogie Wit Da Hoodie”. This song has a very catchy beat and it is a mixture of rap and actual singing and it is by Chris Brown, that’s all you need to know, Who doesn’t love Chris Brown?
2. “No No No- G4SHI” this is the catchiest song I’ve ever listened to, great for when you are driving, people are sleeping on G4SHI, I’ve set an alarm clock.
3. “La Modelo- Ozuna, Cardi B” This song is AMAZING, this collaboration is just…. Too good. Again, who doesn’t like Cardi B, she sounds even better in Spanish, I was speechless.
4. “Bella y Sensual-Romeo Santos” This song instantly makes me want to start dancing the bachata.
5. “You Got It- Bryson Tiller,” They say you must save the best for last, and every Bryson tiller song is even better than the last one, so you might as well listen to the whole “True To Self” Album while you are at it, you won’t regret It. I trust that by the end of this article, you have added all of these to your playlist, or at least a few of them, If you haven’t i’m seriously going to go cry to a sad song.
