When To Go?
The best time to visit Rome is between October and April. That’s the time where most of the tourist crowds have decreased and room rates are lower. Although you’ll need a very warm coat. During this time of the year, the weather is a little below freezing. If you don’t like the cold, visit Rome by May or September. The tourist rate is still lower and it’s temperature average flit between the 70s and 80s.
The Colosseum
The Colosseum is a massive stone amphitheater with eighty different arches is located on the east of the Rome. It's construction started by Emperor Vespasian around A.D 72, and ended in A.D. 80, under the rule of his son, Titus. It was initially open for gladiatorial combats with wild animals. Nowadays, is one of the most visited tourist attraction in Rome with having over a thousand of tourists each year paying just to see the interior arena. This beautiful architecture is still under restoration. Archaeologists are trying to clean and consolidate the monuments façade.
Trevi Fountain
The Trevi Fountain is one of the most beautiful fountains and largest Baroque fountain in the Trevi district of Rome. The construction of this massive fountain was initiated by the Italian architect, Nicola Salvi and completed by the famous architect Pietro Bracci. It is about 86 ft tall and 161.3 ft wide. And you don't have to worry about paying any entrance feed because it is free to the public. But there’s a catch, at all hours of the day, the Trevi Fountain is full by tourists who visit and throw coins into it the pool and making a wish.
Roman Forum
The Roman Forum is located at the end of The Colosseum, it is surrounded by the ruins of many building from the ancient government in the center of the city of Rome. Since the Roman Forum was also built thousand of years ago, archeologist also started restoring it, but it is still open for tourist to visits. The Admission is for 12 Euro, but it gives you a full tour around the Roman Forum, guided tours are offered in multiple languages.
