Is Is America a salad bowl or a melting pot?

The “salad bowl” is the term that people use when they are trying to describe the combination of different cultures in the United States; just like a salad, you can taste every single thing that is in it and still separate the lettuce and the tomato from each other. Meanwhile the term “melting pot” is more like the opposite. All the cultures are mixed together to create just one or following just one culture. You can’t separate each ingredient from a melting pot; in other words, we can’t tell the difference from each culture.
