Which one is better?

Salad bowl. By having a diverse country allows us to meet and learn a little bit from each culture. We also get to interact with different types of people, beliefs and ideas; which is good because if you think about it, good decisions comes from different points of view. Every culture has at least one little thing to offer. Either it’s their religion, their food or their language. For instance, San Francisco could be consider as a salad bowl. They don't have a main culture to follow, everyone just holds onto their own heritage.

Melting pot. Having all culture mix together can facilitate a lot of things. One of the main issues that people talk the most is criticism. In a melting pot, people won't be judged that much because now everyone is mostly the same— same culture, same traditions. A lot of people feel more comfortable by interacting with the same kind of people, it is like “equality” for all. For example, in New York, the people are so unique, but the New Yorkers incorporate their culture to create a whole different atmosphere where people can feel like they’re part of something while retaining their own identity.
