Traditional Dating

Today

Traditional dating today is a lot different from how it was in the past. Today, a date could be as simple as a meeting at a coffee shop. It is also not unccomon for women to do the asking instead of leaving it to the man. In addition, men will often pay on the first date but it is also not uncommon to see a woman offer to go Dutch, or pay for her own meal. Women sometimes callfirst after the first date instead of waiting for the man to call. Lastly, premarital sex is common after a few dates.

Traditional dating in the 1950's was very different from the way traditional dating is now. The man always did the asking, calling, and the paying without exception. Furthermore, if the woman agreed to go on a date, the man would arrange everything. He would decide where they would go and the time he would pick her up. Lastly, premarital sex was definitely frownd upon and was not socially exceptable,

1) Do not send text or emails to ask someone on a date

2) Dress appropriately depending on the type of date

3) Do not text or make phone calls on a your date

4) Do not order the most expensive while on a dinner date

5) Try to avoid talking about past relationships, so that you do not give the wrong impression to your date

6) Be attentive and make sure to be yourself.

7) Honesty is always the best policy.
