Is traditonal dating a lost art form?

As the years go by, the art of traditional dating has steadily decreased. The old-fashioned path to finding love is no longer a viable option. Instead, couples jump straight into intimate relationships. In fact, most couples become intimately involved as a result of being in the same social group, vollyeball team, or work enviornment for years. Others meet via Facebook and through other online "dating" outlets. Essentially, those who are single are not dating, and those who are in love did not fall in love through dating. In addition, the straight forwards anwsers given through traditional dating have become increasinging frustrating for both sexes. As online services and new technology have surfaced, so has the ambiguity of e-mails, text messages, and online chats. This makes it increasingly difficult for individuals to get straightfoward anwsers to questions such as, "will you go on a date with me?" or "do you like me?" as was the case with traditional dating. No longer are the days where single indiviudals go on multiple dates per week in search of love.
