What Made you pick Tayside as your choice of flight school?
I was in the Air Cadets and I was awarded ACPS scholarship that took place at Tayside this gave me 12 hours flying and I loved it that much I stayed there with another scholarship and a bursary with the Air League. Now I look back and don’ t regret that decision the staff are committed and the quality of the flight instructors are impeccable. So when it came to my ATPL my choice was clear, Tayside was the way to go, as my experience at Tayside was very good, great flying environment and professional staff.
How is Tayside as a flight school?
Tayside is a very well run school and makes the most of the resources available to provide an excellent standard of instruction. The variety of courses that it runs exemplifies the flexibility of Tayside and the trust that numerous organisations have in its ability to deliver. The new degree course will always have its teething problems so of course there is room for improvement, however plans are already in place and the near future looks extremely promising.
What would you say to an aspiring pilot who’ s thinking of doing a degree course?
I would say, make sure you understand all your options and what kind of training you would like, with all available routes. Visit Tayside on one of its open days or contact Tayside directly for more information. There are very few flying schools with such a high reputation and such a long term success rate.
